This is our final weekend (Sat 24th/Sun 25th Sept) that we are open to the general public BUT we have a large number of parties and would recommend ringing us on 01729 824413 to avoid the disappointment of not being able to get in.
Our first party 11am-1pm on Saturday is one of our largest we have ever done and it is highly unlikely we will have any space until after 1pm, The next party then starts at 3pm.
We also have two parties on Sunday with the first being from 11am-1pm and the second after closing so again we would recommend visiting us after 1pm.

During the last few weeks we have had to make a decision about the future of the Playbarn and we are truly heartbroken to announce that we will officially close for the very last time at the end of September 2016 (Friday 30th September).

We have really thrown our hearts and souls into this business over the last five years and it is only through the wonderful support of our customers that we are able to go out on such a high. We wish we didn’t have to, but the pressures of running a small business are continuing to increase and sadly so many factors now make it unsustainable.

We can not emphasise enough our gratitude to everyone who has supported us on this journey. Firstly the Playbarn staff – An outstanding, hardworking, exceptionally friendly bunch (if a bit bonkers!) who have helped make the Playbarn what it is today and become great friends. Our family has been amazing throughout, Grandma Riley, without bias, is the best cake baker (mum & grandma) ever and it has been a privilege to share her wonderful talent with you all. Grandad Riley has been a scientific inspiration and great support throughout and I (Rob) know my mum & dad would have been so proud with what we achieved over the years.

At the Playbarn our aim was to deliver more than just soft play and we need to make extra special mention of the people who helped us to achieve that: Nana Pat, a remarkable lady who just turned up one day with her grandchildren and has then come every single week on a Wednesday to do the most amazing craft sessions, supported enthusiastically by Grandma Linda. Leea’s fabulous art sessions on a Monday and Sheryl from Mini Elephant was also an inspired meeting and we wish her every success in all her future ventures when she finishes here at the end of September.
In the early days we also had fab music and dance sessions with Clare Douglas and Becky Herbert and we thank them too.

And finally a HUGE thank you to our customers! We have been made so welcome in this community, have had such great support over the years and made so many lasting friendships. We simply couldn’t have done it without you!!!

So… we have approximately 5 weeks before we finally close the door on this crazy chapter and as always we love a good party so watch this space over next couple of weeks as we let you know about a few special events. It is business as normal at the moment so we hope as many of you can join us as possible before we close.

Thank You again. Rob, Sally-Anne and the girls xxxx

We are a small family run business (with two small children) and pride ourselves on a lovely clean environment, high quality homemade food, great weekly activities (please check out the what’s on section) and a fun filled experience.
